I'm Delaney. I'm 15 and I got diagnosed about 8 months ago. My uncle has type one diabetes and my moms a docter but no one noticed my symptoms for a long time. I got to the bathroom alot any way and I was just sick so every one thought everything was from that. I am coming out of the honey moon period which has been hard. But I am getting a pump soon and that should make things easier. I haven't been on this site in a while, as I have been sort of ignoring my diabetes, since I've been dealing with other stuff. So I'm going to give it another try. (Both the site and taking care of myself!)

That is the coolest thing ever about the deer! I loved Japan, but only remember seeing animals domestic to Washington like raccoons and opossums, and small monkeys in Japanese zoos. Sheep too! =) Fun.

Hi Delaney,

I meandered over to your site, and wanted to say hi, and good luck! I love your picture! Where did you get to pet a deer!?

I have had T1 for over 7 years now, also diagnosed in March (I was only 23). Had classic thirst/weight loss symptoms, and ketoacidosis!

I am glad you found this site, I wish I had known about it earlier, but I have been a member for a few months now.

Welcome!
