Hello, all. I've derived much comfort here over the past year since I've been diagnosed (T1 can be lonely in a small town) but have never had reason to pipe up. All my questions have been answered in…Continue

Has anybody checked out their slideshow Type 1 Diabetes Explained? Info on CGM use is wrong (ie, these are not intended to be used long-term, should only be left in place 3 days, etc.) And their photo of a 'balanced meal' for a T1D is a sandwich, apple, grapes, juice, 2 cookies and 3 pieces of candy. What gives? The medical info. in the slides is reviewed by a family doc, not an Endo. I wrote and suggested they might want an Endo to take a look. But good grief, this is a medical web site,…See More

Welcome to the family!! On this forum you will learn so much. Most of what you will learn is that you are not alone. Everyone here is supportive and will provide answers to your questions. Search the site for answers. Read the discussions and blogs for information. There are videos to help you understand diabetes and its treatment. Most of all there is family to talk to and vent to, if needed.
