Thanks, Gerri. I have been wading my way though Jenny's site. There is a lot of information to digest there. I am feeling a bit overwhelmed with it all but know that I will get through it all.

Hi Diane, Great that you can keep BG under control by staying at a certain number of carbs. Wonderful that you're testing a lot! Though more common in Type 1s, dawn phenonmenon may be the cause of your numbers being higher in the morning than be...

I don't get it.

I was just diagnosed Glucose Intolerant in early July. My doc wanted to hold off on a diagnosis of diabetes to see if changing some meds (that screw with blood sugar and caused a 50 pound weight gain in 6 months), weight loss and diet could get it under control. I was monitoring once a day and really just sort of watching what I ate. Hello Dianna. So happy to be your friend. I read your blog awhile ago and I do understand your frustration (or should I say confusion). Did your doctor say how long before he can make the diagnosis?
When I was first diagnosed (type 2), the first few months were so frustrating to me. A log book was advised. My doctor made me record whatever I eat and take bg every after 1 and 2 hours after. So goes with any form of physical activity or exercise. BG was recorded, before and after. Its tidious and irritating sometimes but it worked for me in establishing bg trendings.
You were diagnosed July? Its best to take it one step at a time. You will figure it out. We would be happy to help in the process.
By the way, congratulations on your new grandchild! Got some pictures? I would love to see the angel. Im sure he/she is adorable!
