"It would be really neat. So far the only viable way is Dexcom/Medtronic/Abbott's enzymatic detection of bg via interstitial fluid. Companies keep trying and flaming out on using laser optics (the recent example is BD which just gave up on its…"

Hey Don,
It's very frustrating to say the least. Of course everyone is very helpful, I just got off the phone with a Omnipod rep, she's going to contact BCBShit (ha! I love that) and see what she can do. Don't have a lot of hope. I was told by the DME people it's considered "disposable" but so are insulin pens and they're covered (I think!!) It's because they don't make enough money on the pods. The thing that infuriates me is that they don't cover CGM's!!!!!!!! What the h###ll! If ANYTHING should be covered it should be that. Now that I'm prepared to fight, we'll see how well I fight with "city hall"

So how is the Pod going for you so far??? I have chosen to go with the Animas Ping for now. Good luck. Let me know if you keep yours or not.

Hi and thankyou for your reply. The only problem is that I have been needing to test my nighttime basal and I can't have any active insulin in my body.I believe I already did try a combo bolus and didn't get good results.I'm just going to have to play with it I guess.
