New toys!

I have been on the new enlight CGM system with the new medtronic pump for 2 months now and it is pretty cool. I need to tweak the settings to get less alarms but over all it is much more comfortable and much more convenient. Also, I have been a long time customer of spibelt, which never failed me and I recommend highly (except for the buckles, I wish they would change those). Recently I tried totem holsters. Although they have no buckles (which can be bad and good, depends on if you like hoola…See More

Wow, I have been reading so many other blogs today. It is just so good to hear others opinions on this stuff and the general fellowship.

In other news, I go home this Friday. Which not only includes another exciting interaction between my diabetes and airport security, but also reminds me of why I hate being tall. Airplanes were not made for me. I am sick of cramming myself into a plastic and aluminum basket so uncomfortable that I can't fall asleep not even for the transatlantic… Continue

I think it is important to keep posting stuff. Its amazing how much better I feel when I get people that feel the same way about my words!

So, My last post I talked about not being able to work because of diabetes. Well, I am going to expand on this.

"You sure travel alot, you are so lucky!!!"

Sure I do travel, for work, which I admit I love. It has actually taken a job/industry that I had gotten bored with and made it always new, exciting, and interesting.…

Hi Don. Thanks for the friend invite! My husband's and my fall adventure (so to speak) was a trailer trip to So. Ohio to see the fall colors. Ohio winds had taken down many of the leaves, but the rest were still pretty enough to be worth the drive in the rain! I took way more diabetes supplies than I needed, as you've suggested, but we could have used more cold weather supplies. Crazy weather year! Our three Golden Retrievers loved it and we all got somewhat acclimated to winter! Whether you go back home or marry and go to Norway, I expect you'll find great adventures. Best luck, and congrats on your finding a way to such good control and great A1cs.
