Jackie, please make an appointment with a dietitian. You need more carbs, and more so healthier carbs. My guess is you digested 10 gms of carb at best.

What did you test before your shot, and and how many carbs did you eat? My guess is you are not eating enough carbs hence the low blood sugar. Byetta does not make me nausea nor have I dropped weight because of it.

I have been on Byetta since it was introduced, maybe 2 years or more, and it does not effect my appetite. I have had zero weight loss due to this drug.
