Good to hear from you. I really pleased that Taylor's video is having a good impact. I don't know whether I sent you the latest video we did. We interviewed 4 families with diabetic kids and asked the same questions to the parents and the kids, but out of each others presence. It gives a good idea of what families go through and also the different perspectives of the diabetic and the caretakers. Check it out: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QbyFkau_m-Y

Welcome to the TuDiabetes community, Dr. Zablotsky. I hope your lectures include appropriate explanations on how a significant minority of patients can do absolutely nothing to "prevent" their condition since type 1 is an autoimmune condition which has an etiology more similar to multiple sclerosis than it does to obesity. It is very frustrating how the medical profession sometimes lumps everyone under the same name in their television appearances and speaches, spreading misinformation and misunderstanding in the process!
