The Robert Downey of Diabetics
Just discovered this place and it may take a bit before I have a chance to set up some type of page. I am a type II diabetic (maybe the only one here). I guess I am the Robert Downey of diabetics because when I get to eating I am to food what Robert Downey is to substances he is not supposed to ingest. Still, I am only about 4 lbs overweight because I only eat when I am hungry, but once I get started, watch out!
I am currently on Byetta and Starlix, which I take before eating. Since they seem to increase my appetite and keep making me hungry a short time after I finish eating, and sometimes drop my blood sugar, I try to limit the amount of meals I eat a day. I will be away for a week after writing this so I will not get a chance to get online.

It's been forever since I made any entries here and I am not sure anyone will ever see this but here goes . . .
These are some of my conclusions from being a diabetic and observing others. Many will not agree and many may even be offended.
