No, I don't know pilates. I am just not very good in the gym. I do some walking, but not a lot of anything else right now. My son comes over a couple of times a month and works with me on small hand weights and tries his best to teach me different exercises that he thinks i will remember. He teases me a lot and we do more laughing than exercise, but I think we both enjoy it. I am really not good with dancing either, but some of my grandkids say they will work on it with me. i would love to go apple picking as the apples are getting ready now. We used to pick all kinds of fruit when I was a kid. It was alweays such a fun time. What do you remember best from childhood?
Saturday we will be going to New York City to an Italian restaurant called Babbo. The chef is Mario Batali, who is on television here a lot. I am looking forward to it, and will report back!
I am sorry the belly dancing was hard. I probably would never have gotten it right. I hope you try again. Maybe it will work out next time. Anything done for fun has to have some good points. I am laughing about how funny I look trying to dance to anything. A couple of my grandkids are coming over this weekend They said they would try to help me dance something then. They were already laughng. It won't matter just so we can laugh together.
Once again I left you a comment Elena and don't know where it went,. I hit add comment and it just disappears. I am so sorry. I will wait to see if it shows up here. If it doesn't i will trty to rewrite it. sorry about that.
It looks like both of my messages finally showed up on here. sorry I messed them up. There is probably another one on your site just like these.
So tell me about the bellly dancing. Did you have a good time? I always wanted to try that. My kids laugh at me so much when i dance I start laughing too I think that would be so fun to learn to belly dance. I am sure it would be great exercise too.
We did go shoe shopping but didn't buy anything. I tried on this pair of really fancy red high heels. But i couldn't manage to walk in them and didn't have anything to wear red patent leather and rhinestones with. They were fun to have on though. My daughter found some zebra heels and we laughed about those too. We had a good time. It is never about buying the shoes, just the fun time we spend together. I hope you had a great time and am looking forward to hearing about the belly dancing. Wish we were close enough so you could teach me some moves. Great talking to you. I will catch you later.
We enjoy Italian food a lot. I use cookbooks from Marcella Hazan and Lydia Bastianich a lot. Lydia is from Istria. They have a lot of good vegetable dishes, and teach us American about how good and healthy real Italian food is. My best friend is Italian-American, too!
No, I was not able to have children. I have had a full life with a wonderful husband, and many close friends though.
I've been very lucky not to have had too many problems with my diabetes. I love to quilt and cook, and would love to know what kinds of foods you eat. What's for dinner? Last night we had chicken wings, and green beans and corn on the cob fresh from the farmer's market. yum!
