Hello! Thank you for having me as a friend Elizabeth ♥
Montana...so far away, and yet right here! That's one of the appealing factors of tu.diabetes. I'm in Canada...in the southwestern part of the province of Ontario...a city named Kitchener-Waterloo (2 cities joined together). I'm a wife of 33 years, mom to two grown children, a grandma to 3 lovable little boys, a teacher, and before that an illustrator and graphic designer....I speak French and English, I read, paint, sing, walk, garden, ski, ride my bike...I'm an animal lover...a lover of the ocean and....I have diabetes (and a few other things).
Keep in touch, ok?

ElizabethM said… Thanks for all the welcomes! It feels good to be in a place where someone understands. My mother goes to see her neurologist this afternoon, so hopefully we will have a diagnosis by the end of the day. I am terrified that it will be MS, but will be relieved to know what it is. She has been miserable for almost 2 months now! Not knowing always seems worse than knowing and having plan of action to treat! The only thing Im confsed about is that she already has had an MRI and it looked fine. Correct me if Im wrong, but wouldn't MS show up as some sort of lesions in the brain?
Welcome to a great site with a wealth of information!!

We're so happy that you're finally here! Welcome home Elizabeth....you certainly have a lot on your plate!
This is a great place to share, to learn, and to grow...all the while meeting new people world wide, and making friends.
Take a peek at some the groups when you get a chance. One group, "Diabetes Plus", was created for folks who have more than diabetes to contend with. Just go to the top of your page, and click on "Groups".
Once in, you can either peruse the wide array of available groups....or simply type a specific interest in the space provided.
Take in some of the blogs/discussions as well.
The resource boxes at the top of the home "Home" page, and
"About us" at the very bottom of your page and every page (the footer), offer you more information still.

Hope you find the support and information you came looking for.
