Hey Emily! I've been doing really well and you? I ended the study I was in early and I explain more about it in on my page in my blog if you want to know more. I did about 6 months of the monthly IV infusions of the whole 2 years worth. How's your summer going?

Howdy -
You know... I can't remember the name of the street in Niwot, and it was before many people had computers at home so I don't have on-line pictures or notes about the place. It was not right in the center of the little town, more like "the burbs" - a lovely ranch house with a nice yard from which (of course) you could see the snow on the Rockies even in July. It was 1990 and we were there less than 1 year, so don't really know anyone there any more.

Hey Em, thanks for letting me know! I am very interested in how this drug was presented to you by your doctor, what information he gave you, what it did for you, how everything is going now, etc.... I am super skeptical about it b/c i cannot find any long term studies and messing with my immune system seems like playing with fire to me. That could just be me tho. Thanks for any input!

Hey Emily, hope you had a merry xmas! I'm glad you found a study, phase 3 sounds good too! I hope it really does something. I looked up the the drug tolerx a little and it sounds interesting. My trial is still going, for 2 years I get an infusion every month. My insulin dosage didn't stay up for that long like I last told you, that only lasted like a week and now it's been back down so it's going good. I think the drug is helping.

Wow, that's cool about the study. How is it going so far? Any reaction the the infusion? My insulin dosage went up a little, basal, and fast acting. So I'm thinking my honeymoon might be phasing out, which is kinda said if I got the real drug but who knows...

Hey Emily - Sorry for the delayed response, been traveling a ton lately. When are you heading to P-Town? I've got some great places to send you too. Send me the dates you're going, what part of town you're staying in, and what you like to do...I'll take care of the rest....Lee
