Newly diagnosed: A little about me and my story...
My name is Eric Hehr, and I was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes on March 27, 2009. I was filled with mixed emotions when my doctor told me my blood test results. My best friend's dad had recently past away from cancer and his symptoms were the same as mine.... Jenny said… - Read your comment at TuD about your folks. I can relate, legally blind from 3 month premature birth, my folks were psycho protective.
But like you, they too are getting used to this new thing in your life. Try to learn together, shine on some of their comments, or better yet, ask "why do you feel that way?" let 'em tell you.
I wish my folks were still around, but they've both passed on. Much as they drive ya nutz, they love you & will be neurotic for awhile.
