After a lot of work dealing with type 1 diabetes and pregnancy everything turned out well with the baby. I feel so fortunate about the care that I received during the pregnancy. It has been years since I have posted on this site but I wanted to post to let people know that I had a healthy baby girl in June. So after reading some things lately I decided that I needed to use some new sites. Since I have had the pump ~8years I have used two locations on my abs. I realize that this has got to change or I will start to form those bumps. So I put my infusion site on my butt. I don't like it too much because I keep wanting to mess with it and when I check it is looks like I am grabing my a$$. This will really take a while for me to get used to. Diabetes and anger

Last week someone sent me an email at work that really angered me. With all the stress I have been feeling since the start of the FY and the additional work that I have been doing this email made me livid. I don't know if I had been that angry in years. While I was responing back my hands were shaking. When I noticed the shaking I first thought that I was having a low but I wasn't. I was that mad. Test Results!

So I called my doc to get my latest test results. Everything was good and again my A1C is 5.8. I also asked for my previous visits cholestrol results. They were good too. A total of 170, with 77 HDL, 70 LDL, and 113 tri. I wonder why I have to ask for my cholestrol numbers? I hate to admit I have not known them for over a year because my doc never includes them in my test results message.
Medical Procedure

So Wednesday I had a minor medical procedure. Before the procedure on Tuesday I had to be on a liquid diet and take some medicine. The medicine was horrible and made me throw up. I really hate to throw up because I always think about the insulin that I have taken for that food that is no longer in my system. Therefore, I mentioned to my doctor on Wednesday that there should be a warning that it might make you throw up. The doctor then turned and looked at me and said that is normal to throw up.… Continue
