The insertion set has adhesive on it, but if it gets even slightly wet, it can pull away from the skin and the cannula will slide out, so putting the sheet over it will keep it dry…"

I am a little lost here !!!
1. first I Cleaned the site with the "I.V.Prep Antiseptic Wipe"
2. then I put the ReliaMed "Protective Bafrrier Wipe" on the site
3. In the past I then put the Inset on with the inserter.
I now need to add "IV3000 1-Hand" into the equation. I am not sure which sequence it should go in, and should I cut a hole in the middle of it, so the needle can penetrate, or will the needle go thru the this material of the… Continue

Ok, so on 9/26 i sat in the tv room, and started sweating a little and felt light headed, just sat and it went away, no problem. Then te children came to visit and we moved to the Front Porch and all sat to talk, when I began sweating a lot, and felt dizzy, so I simply said, I think i'll lay down for a while. I ordered my Dexcom 7plus on Tuesday 6/16/09 and was told I would receive it in 3 days. We shall see, I did see the charge go threw the next day, I'll let you know.P

Now that I am getting a little more predictable results, let me share them with you:
My Weekly averages are:
Glucose: 143.14
Insulin: Novolog (Meal Bolus)- 10.13 and Lantus (Basal-) 54.16 (using a syringe)
Carbs: 47.66 (per meal)
Calories: 489.54
Using rule 500 for Meal Bolus
using Rule 1500 for Sensitivity (correction) Bolus
I built a little excel spreadsheet and put the carbs and BG in and that helps me determin my total Bolus amount… Continue

Why I want an Insulin Pump

- I give myself a minmum of 4 shots a day
- My Glucose runs from 76 - 303
- I have a hard time predicting meal time, and giving my shots each day at the same time
- I suspect it is shocking my system when I give 42 Units of Lantus in the evening, instead of a slow release
- I have arthritis in my fingers and it is hard to use the syringe
- My eyesight is bad, hard to get the dosage right using a syringe
- When I get an air bubble in the syringe, it is fairly… Continue
