Greetings and welcome from a neighbor from ETOBICOKE, who will be as close as my clarence.haynes@sympatico.ca. I live at WESBURN MANOR. I am a computer rookie who has found a way to use this tool to share my 91 years of wisdom and being insulin-dependent since 1977, when I was clinically dead in BOSTON, after driving 400 miles from MONTREAL. So far am role model to over 40.000 diabetics and counting. I will talk to anyone anytime anywhere as long as I AM ABLE. My guidelines are 1. Have a good diabetes team, diabetic specialist, dietitan, podiatrist, social worker, pharmacist. 2 Wear a MEDIC-ALERT BRACELET, it can SPEAK for you in case of emergency. 3 Listen to your BODY it tells you when to eat, what to eat, snack, EXERCISE, rest and sleep. 4. Have a DIABETIC BUDDY someone you are in contact with EVERYDAY. I have a project called AMIGOKIT and I call 5 DIABETICS, EVERYDAY. it makes someones day and could SAVE A LIFE. Since you are from guatemala, WHAT DOES YOUR GROUP NEED TO IMPROVE YOUR DIABETES AWARENESS AND PREVENTION PROGRAM? Lets keep in touch.

Hey Francis...welcome to the rabble. Are you feeling a tad overwhelmed?....Not surprising, right? There's just so much to learn! But you know what? Take it moment by moment...we've all been there. Before you know it, things will fall in place. In the meantime, look up the various sites/groups and stay connected!...linda in canada (Kitchener actually!)
