Marps said… - Yeah Lantus was a nightmare for me too. I experienced six insulin shock comas from it. I was absolutely TERRIFIED of going to sleep at night- would often sleep sitting up! I do NOT want to go back to that kind of life. yuck.
But, I started getting insulin resistance to short acting insulins- all short acting insulins. Which means that I need the support that Levemir offers 24 hours a day in order to keep my BG in check.
I'm gonna ask my doc about Symlin on my next visit in two weeks! I've heard some great stuff about that one.

- Hi Gerry! I actually used to be on the pump, but had to come off of it due to complications. So, the pump won't help my overnight lows. :)
I've been on Levemir for almost two years now, and have had no major issues. Still looking for something better- as always with this darned disease! :)
