Where Do You Order Insulin Pump Supplies?

When I ordered my quarterly pump supplies today, I was informed by the Liberty Medical rep that they no long dispense insulin. The biggest reason I did business with Liberty was that they (were) a one-source distributor for ALL of my diabetic needs. They were also local, so I could simply pick up my supplies and not worry about temperatures during the warm summer months. Can anyone recommend a (Medicare-approved) distributor who handles MiniMed pump supplies, Contour Next test strips, and…See More

"I use Quick-sets on my thighs with no trouble whatsoever. I do use the shorter (6mm) cannula because my thighs don't have much fat. I can get 9 weeks from my thighs (I change twice weekly): Low front, back, side; high front, back, side, and…"

"I am on medicare, and I get my lancets (the Fastclix you are trying to get) through my pump supplier under durable medical goods -- not through a prescription plan. I use Liberty for my pump supplies and have had no problems."

Those 'little' Vulcans are pretty cool and the name is so Trekky! I find as I get older my legs must get shorter and/or my bike gets taller! I almost dread stopping the bike anymore - I can barely touch ground on one side now and if that little patch of ground where I land my big toe happens to have a leaf or sand or oil on it, I'm pretty much SOL. and what's worse is that I'm no longer able to use leverage to my benefit! My aging shoulders and wimpy spine make it almost impossible for me to pick up my own machine and I really really REALLY hate asking some big strong young fella to help this 'little' old lady pick up her bike. I hate those comments like "Why would you buy a bike you can't pick up?" and my answer "Why would you have such a big mouth when your mind is so teeny?" Of course, I never have the nerve to say my line but I've certainly heard the former. "Big bike for sucha little girl" was common back when I was younger (and smaller) and I could pick it up back then! The bike still weighs 853 pounds 'naked' plus I've dressed it up with a full fairing and saddle bags. Add in a tank of ga$ and me - and we're up to half a ton!! HEAVY for more guys too! But now I just try very very hard not to get myself into situations where I might end up dropping the bike or even having to back it out of a parking spot - up hill. Howcum people never seem to realize we don't got no back-up gear?
Anyway - glad to meetcha Gerry (albeit a tad late) - and happy to be your friend - although I've probably just worn out my welcome with the above diatribe! :-)
