Son (17) was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes about a year ago. Would like to connect with parents of children who were diagnosed in their late teens.

The diagnosis is hard at this age but at least they are old enough to participate in their treatment. Our endo's goal for Greg was to get him self sufficient enough to go away to college if he desired. He is now 5 hours away at college, still playing hockey on the college team and doing well in his studies. His #s at break were a little bit higher but still good considering his new college schedule.
