"You are talking about we as well. I have been diabetic for 23 years and I am either doing it all or doing little to nothing. I hate it and I feel guilty, but I have a job, husband, and two small children that I always put first. I never seem to be…"
Thanks for the words of encouragement, Heather. They are much appreciated! This is the whole reason I know you'll love this community. It's okay to be diabetic here. It's okay to be pissy about it. It's okay to be empowered by it. It's okay that you had a high yesterday, etc. Thanks, again.
My husband lived in Nashville for a couple of years. I've only visited there. Do you like it? Next time you're in the DFW area, we'll have to get a bunch of us together or something. :)
Don't be frustrated by your A1c. It happens. Just keep working on it and just because there is a bad day doesn't mean you've failed. It just means try again tomorrow.
Thanks for the tip on the nurse. I am currently looking at the webpage on Vandy's Adult diabetes care.
Welcome to TuDiabetes, Heather. I hope you enjoy it. I live in TN also and we have a group on here called Tennessee Diabetics. Come join us! I am currently trying to set a date for a gathering in the mid-state area for us all. It will be in the next 2 to 3 months.
Once again, I hope you enjoy the site. :)
Welcome to our community, Heather! You were diagnosed a couple years before I was. Glad to have another veteran Type 1 in our mix here. I'm sure you'll have a lot of experience to add to our discussions.
Welcome to our growing family Heather!!!!!!!! Your east of me, I live in Jackson TN. I see you've found the group that Cara set up for us TN diabetics! I was going to tell you about it but you beat me to it!!!!!!
