Kidney Pancreas Transplant
Hi Everyone!!
I just wanted to share a little about my story. I was diagnosed with diabetes at the age of 2. I started having eye problems in my teens and experienced kidney failure in August 2000. After being diabetic for 30 years and being on dialysis for almost 7 years I received a kidney pancreas transplant on July 13, 2007. I am happy to say that I am doing very well and for the first time in my life that I can remember I am living without diabetes!! I hope to share my life experiences and meet others whose lives have been affected by diabetes.

Thank you for stopping by.We have a Poetry Club among groups,and there is a contest,No added sugar poetry,aiming to collect best poems,about diabetes,to come out with a book published by Hands Foundation to promote diabetes cause.
I love poetry and write in Arabic& in Arabian english,published 2 books and others on the way,promoting Art 4Charity idea.My cause is diabetes,so I include diabetes subtly in my poems.
Hoping to read some of your lovely poems in Poetry Club and in the contest.
