lasar after cataract surgery/lens implants

Some 13 years ago, I had cataract surgeries and interocular lens implants put into both eyes. Over time, those lenses have re-clouded over and are now almost completely clouded over. (they fix that by using a YAG lasar to burn a hole through) Has anyone had this done,& was there any pain/funky vision issue afterwords? (and can they recloud over even after its done) I'm a little nervous about it.See More

Well, I've entered a contest over at SlickDeals...it's my Halloween Pumpkin, diabetes style:

if you're a member of Slickdeals, you can go here to vote. I'm #70. Help the D-Pumpkin beat all the other non-D's! (j/k as I know its not going to beat anything..but I had fun doing it)

A Few of My Favorite Things(D-style)

A1c’s high, and my eye doctors frown

It’s getting to me, man, its got me quite down

Cream jelly doughnuts will help me along

And give me the boost age to finish this song.

Guys in white dress shirts with blue stripe-ed ties

Invoke palpitations (and a great deal of sighs)

Still being young, man, I’m out on Spring Fling

These are a few of my favorite things.

DC traffic (as it’s ridin’ my bumper)

Iphones and itunes and insulin… Continue

Unload time...well, I went to see my endo and my a1c has come down quite a bit. Not under 7, but that is my goal for next time. Having said that, life gets in the way...I've started up a new exercise routine and have thus far managed to find time to drag myself to the gym twice a week. Yeah, I should do it more but I think twice a week beats not at all! My blood sugars are pretty stable during the workouts but several hours later, as I'm recovering from the feelings of being hit by a Mack truck… Continue

Haven't posted in awhile. School stuff has kept me really busy. (yay, for a few weeks of sanity) Celebrated D-day number 10 on December 10. Of course, it was a final exams day so I really didn't paint the town red but I savored the "treat" I'd gotten for myself(a Wendy's Frostie and chicken salad). I don't feel like a newbie at all now, there's something about putting your diabetes in the double digits.

They changed things around with the mag infusions so I'm getting a huge dose one… Continue

Status quo here. I am seeing a nephrologist on a regular basis, getting magnesium infusions three times a week but hoping to cut down on that soon. I may have to get a port surgically implanted but the meds(amiloride) is supposed to cut down on the wasting and I am really hoping my veins hold out. Thank you guys for your thoughts and prayers.
