- Hi Heidi! How is your pregnancy going so far? I had a c-section with both of my deliveries. With my daughter, I had a c-section 10 days before my due date because my blood pressure was starting to go up and via ultrasound, she looked like she was close to 9 pounds (she was 8 lbs 13 ounces!) and the docs tend to do c-sections here if there's any doubt at all about the baby or mom's health. With the twins, I very quickly developed severe pre-eclampsia at 34 1/2 weeks and was rushed to a big hospital about an hour away where I had an emergency c-section under general anesthesia. NOT fun...that delivery felt very "medical" in nature but my daughter's delivery was actually really beautiful... I remember every detail and I got to nurse her right away. :-) BTW, my twins ended up being 100% healthy and ready to be born! They didn't need oxygen, glucose, etc. and are now big, happy, normal 2 1/2 month olds! :-)

I had heard the forceps could be a little rough for the baby, but my doc seemed to think that if it is done correctly, there shouldn't be any issues at all... but how can you ENSURE it is "done correctly"!! Spoke with her today and since baby girl isn't making a move to go anywhere fast, I am sure c-section is what we will go with!!

I love your picture and love your A1C even more you go girl I hope I can get it to that point soon,oh so lovely to see that your a mother that is always a worry for me wondering if I will ever become a mother as I get negative says from silly people so seeing what you do for a living brings a big smile to my face.xxxxxxxxxxx
