"If she is taking medications (including so Homeopathic), those could cause high blood sugars. I believe steroids may be prescribed for Alopecia, and steroids are known to cause your blood sugar to skyrocket."

"It sounds like these changes have some effect on her Diabetes. I know that extreme heat does affect our blood sugar. I don't know what kind of heat therapy she's receiving but if it's sauna type of heat where you sit in it for awhile…"

Hello All,My fiancee is having very high blood sugar since last 15 days or so (having atleast one reading in 300) since she joined this Body Care Unit where they provide her with heat therapy and Sauna massage for weight loss. Also, at the same time she has started with Homeopathic treatment for Alopecia. She says that her hunger has also increased during the day.Her blood sugar was under decent control before she started with these activities but now she has to take more injections and more…See More

"Yes....we met because of our diabetes. In India, there is a diabetic matrimonial website, a group where all diabetics share their profile for marriage. It was very lucky for me as i could find her :)"

"Holy cow, two type I's together! Did you guys meet through your diabetes somehow? The have only met a few type I's in my life, and two of those were before I was dx'd. The others have all been pump trainers or doctors."

Hello People,I am new member here and i have one question. My fiancee who is a type 1 diabetic has this habit of taking insulin (long acting) in morning and then sleeping for 2-4 hours only on Sundays ( or any holidays).
