Lately I just don't want to eat anything because its been hot(Florida) but I mange to snack on fruit. Weigh loss progress isn't what I hoped but have been slowly working on it. I was diagnosed some time after my 6th birthday and have had some problems dealing with it as I got older. Not so much anymore. I find it hard to be a type 2 diabetic and have friends who don't really understand it. But I'm happy, I'm alive, and I've learned to manage it! Smiling everyday because I wake up!

Search the site for answers. Read the discussions and blogs for information. There are videos to help you understand diabetes and its treatment. Most of all there is family to talk to and even to vent to, if needed. Welcome home.

Welcome Izzie_Bubbles, Diagnosed at 6 that's the earliest I have heard for a T2. It looks like you have done a great job managing it with a 5.6 A1C. I'm T2 also but diagnosed at a much older age. This is a great place to come and share and learn fom others like ourselves. Nobody understands what its like to be diabetic like another diabetic. Please explore and see all this place has to offer.

Its great that you can start each day with a smile. Thats a lesson we all need to learn. A smile makes life so much easier.

Please feel at home, you are with friends.
