Our views about Paula Deen and coming out with type 2 diabetes

"Cristalyn, I commented just before your first comment,, and as a southern type 2 diabetic, also from Baton Rouge and still living here, I can't imagine what your problem is with the video and no, I don't see color when I see diabetes so I…"

Our views about Paula Deen and coming out with type 2 diabetes

"The problem with Paula Deen coming out 2 years after her diagnosis is that she's made no alterations to her cooking which doesn't make her a good advocate. She has two sons who cook and promote healthy lifestyles and she does not. I hope…"

JRod replied to Muragaki's discussion 'TSA strikes again, Los Angeles International!'
"You are absolutely correct. She should have declared her pump. Every bit of literature that comes with your pump says so. I am not defending TSA in the least, they are known idiots but yes she should have told the agent she was wearing a pump."

JRod replied to Sharon Fung's discussion 'Breastfeeding and High Blood Glucose Levels' in the group Oh! BABY!!!
"I would pump and dump while sugars are that high and use formula just until it's back in a decent range. Babies don't break down sugars as well as adults and it's extra calories for her. Are you able to pump and possibly store some…"

Welcome to the family! On this forum you will learn so much. Most of all you will learn that you are not alone. Everyone here is supportive and will provide answers to your questions. Search the site for answers. Read the discussions and blogs for information. There are videos to help you understand diabetes and its treatment. Most of all there is family to talk to and even to vent to, if needed. Welcome home.
