Hi Carol! I know what you mean about the insulin, I just had a 6.6 A1C and was happy with that, although I would like it below 6.5. I gained 3 pounds, but my Cholesterol dropped dramatically. You know, I used to know a woman named Carol Coombes, a...

Hey Jackie, I'm OK. My last A1C was horrible. Like 9 something. My cholesterol is around the same level as your most recent one. Aurora is bored with summer altho' she's not eager to go back to school either. She liked the ward campout at Lake Tanwax last weekend. Surprisingly, so did I--and I hate camping. That was my first one since about 1994 or 5.

Thanks so much...I don't have a lot that I've kept for myself. I've knitted quite a number of pedicure socks; but I don't have any pictured here. I've also knitted quite a few adult sweaters...my sister from DC visited me and she selected her own yarn...she says that her wrap-style sweater is the first and only one that has sleeves long enough--I took careful measurements for her custom-made design.

Look at your four-legged babies...how cute. I have one, too--a bichon frise named Zoe. I've knitted quite a few outfits for her. She loves her clothes because when she's really dressed up she knows that she's going somewhere. You definitely won't catch her out in the rainw/o her yellow slicker. Take care and do keep in touch.

Thanks Jackie, for your interest, congratulation on your learning as much as you can by visiting diabetes events. Have you thought of setting up a support group in your area? Start off by calling 5 DIABETICS ? The opening line you can use is "HAVING DIABETES IS A CHALLEGE, A BURDEN,, A TRANSFORMATION, AND A BLESSING. SO LET'S ACCEPT IT AS A GRACIOUS GIFT AND LET IT TEACH US TO LIVE OUR YEARS WELL AND BEING ROLE MODELS. Also could you call diabetics in your area and ask them to join with me, in silence, and give THANKS for INSULIN giving hundreds of millions of US a chance to live healthy lifestyle TODAY. On that day JULY 30 INSULIN APPRECIATION DAY, AMIGOS will be selling BLUE ROSES to support www.restorethebantinghomestead.com we used this flower because of its meaning, 'ATTAINING THE IMPOSSIBLE' AMIGOKIT, Keep In Touch clarence.haynes@sympatico.ca

Hi Jackie, I saw your post to the PNW forum. I understand the depression/anxiety issue and just wanted to send you some encouragement and good wishes. I go for my 2nd A1c in 2 months and am working hard for it to be lower and I know I'll be disappointed if it isn't. Hang in there. I was reminded today by a friend at work that it is a day at a time.

I forgot to add that I hope you get good news when you get your A1c. Do let me know whatever the result might be!
