The Genetic Lottery

Type 2 diabetes is on both sides of my family, and apparentally my sisters and I lost the genetic lottery when we were born. I was diagnosed at 22, my 25 year old sister recently had a high bg reading during a doctors visit and will be having an oral glucose tolerance test next week, and my younger 20 year old sister (who has been thin all of her life) has been diagnosed with impared glucose tolerance.
