Hey everyone! I'm new to this site, and I got on here because I recently have found myself without insurance coverage thanks to the lowlife scumbag I was engaged to. After we broke up, I immediately applied for Medicaid, but was denied because I'm not disabled. I am confused, because I thought Medicaid was for people with low income (which I also have, thanks to said scumbag). - I am a 32 year old type 1 Diabetic, diagnosed when I was 9. I had health insurance until recently, unbeknownst to me, my ex stopped paying the premiums. I am now left facing the daunting task of attempting to remain healthy without the benefit of decent health insurance, and I am scared to death.
