"I was on the pump for 13 years when I decided to take a break and go back to MDI. I was really lazy on the pump and that's why I made the switch. My A1c is the lowest it's ever been since my diagnosis, so I would say that it's working…"

I'm not planning to do it forever but am actually looking forward to this break. My main concerns are timing of my lantus dose and not being able to give smaller increments of humalog. Sadly, I don't do the really helpful, one-on-one type of social work. I just interview people for Food Stamps and Medicaid eligibility. Sigh. But, it's still helping, I guess. Just a little frustrating at times.
