Diabetes Dads

Posted on June 17, 2012 at 11:13am 0 Comments

Happy Father's Day to all the "diabetes dads": dads with diabetes, dads who have kids with diabetes, and those who take care of their dad with diabetes.

My dad and I had a special diabetes relationship. Every three months Dad took me to the hospital for my "fasting" blood draw. Then we went out for breakfast and he took me to school (late). Jane, I don't know if she has the time, but manny's wife Andreina is an artist and responsible for our web design. She designed the cover for our "No Sugar Added" poetry book, did you see it? Andre is also well connected with other artists doing diabetes-related work (see some pictures on my page from an event in NYC) so I would ask her for some suggestions.
