Around my 20-year diabetic "anniversary" I gave up worrying. I rejected the fear of the dreaded complications (because they were inevitable, right?) and began living my life like there was no tomorrow. I am now past my 40-year anniversary complication-free.

I'm glad that u are taking part in the BBT. I don't see how others w/o insurance do it either. It's sad that ppl have to do without the medical supplies they need

test then exercise for 15 minutes then test again and enter it into the site
It's the biggest thing we do here at TuD and it will help others who have trouble getting insulin to get it I forget tyhe name of the insulin who will donate 100.000 to the cause if we get 20,00 hits b/f Nov 14 world Diabetes Day so join us if u can. I test once to twice a day just to enter it there. It cost nothing and it helps others with D I think that's great b/c at one time I was one of those who couldn't afford to buy my supplies and still have sometimes where I have trouble getting them Join us if u can

Yes and YES!!! I tried living life to it's fullest only to learn I'd live alot longer than I was told and it would be so nice for drs to get some of that training in there. U know is a looooong life and u will have this for that life so drs really need to be careful of what they say! My belife anyway.

Sorry it took so long for me to answer u back but I spend ALOT of time in our chat. It's at the bottom of the homepage come on over and join us when u can.
I am there most of the time during the day and up til around 9 at night. I go on and off there but I'm sure u'll be welcomed with wide arms. U could help advise some of the ppl who have just ben diagnosed and compare notes with others. And we all know that feeling after we're diagnosed or even 2 years later don't we? all the support u get is soooo much better

I hope I can give off a positive vuibe b/c of what the drs say. OK to me they try to scare us into taking care of ourselves.(I was told i wouldn't live to be 30) and I DON"T want the younger ppl to hear that and belive it b/c I made some MAJOR mistakes in my teens beliving it. I want ppl to know they can live a long full live and get to be what I was a mom (was told I couldn't do that either) and now a g-mom of 4 soon to be 5
Thanks I'm very happy to have it
