You're very welcome! My husband and I cook most of our meals at home now due to my diabetes. It's much easier for me to control what and how much I eat. I have noticed that when I do cook my own meals my b/s levels are much better. It took me a while to quit being stubborn about the fact that I couldn't just go out and eat like I use to. I just wanted to be like everyone else. Once I quit fighting with my diabetes and accepted the fact that I have to count carbs and do things differently than most people, things got easier. I still have my days that I struggle but for the most part I do good. There is this quote that someone once told me and when I am having a bad day it helps me get through :)
"Life can only be understood backwards, but must be lived forwards." I hope that you and your wife have a good night and a fantastic week! Take care

Hi Javi ... I saw your post about needing help with counting carbs. It can be very difficult and frustrating, especially when there is no nutritional facts on the foods (like fresh vegetables) I always had a hard time with pasta and fresh vegetables until I got a food scale. There is a great food scale at Bed, Bath and Beyond for $19.99 and it's very simple to use as well as reliable! I know that it's inconvenient to have to measure everything :/ The bottom line is until you learn to eye ball what a tablespoon of ketchup looks like or a cup rice you will have to measure and just practice. There is no "easy button" for counting carbs LOL I made a list of the foods I eat the most and how many carbs they have. For example, with my coffee in the morning I know that a tablespoon of my cream has 3 carbs and a tablespoon of sugar has 9 carbs. I hope this is some what helpful to you! Is there anything in particular that you are wanting to know the carb count on? There are a few websites that you can do a food look-up as well. I listed them below. I wish you all the best, God bless and hang in there my friend :D
