Judith said… Blessings, Jeannie. I have been without power here for varying periods. It is never easy. My husband was for 25 years, an Emergency Manager for the city of Portland and so we had to figure out me (and our kitties!) being alone at such times (including 911, for instance). And then, 6 years ago, he had time off to care for me as I was recovering from major surgery in a hospital bed installed in my workshop and the power went out and there we were, happy as a couple of little bedbugs, together in an actual Emergency.....
Sorry for the trip down memory lane, but in our WideWide World, emergencies can have diverse resonance!....There were also the endless snow emergencies and flood warnings when he was gone caring for the city! Portland, after all....
Again....Bless you and yours. I can hardly imagine the difficulties of living in a shelter. So many things that one takes for granted, gone---forever or temporarily......Wishing you and yours the peace of the season!.....Judith
