Thanks for the add Jeff. How's Michigan during these rough economic times? Gosh, my son went to get his insulin and with our terrible new insurance, 1 bottle of insulin was over $90! I almost had a heart attack! What's the use of having insurance? Crazzzzzzzzzzzzyyyy!
I hope the weather is good over there. It's been raining here lately.

Hi Jeff!My diabetes educator gave me a couple of the 90 degree insets. They insert automatically.I was going to try the manuals but when I got thinking about it,to me it would seem too much like an injection.I have always wanted a pump and want to have no memory of injecting insulin. My doctor wants me to do more basal testing because I only did it one other time with skipping meals.I haven't skipped any meals since being on the pump.I find it very hard to skip meals after 22 years of eating 3 meals a day by the clock. It must be very hard for Aaron to adjust to having diabetes.I got it when I was 19 and was devastated, but I bounced back.I just had brain surgery for epilepsy and was starting to adjust, starting to feel a little more "normal".Then this. But I can't complain.I have 2 sons aged 14 &16 who are both healthy. My husband is great! He used to wake up in the night when I was having a low.He would administer honey or would give me my glucagon. When he got this new job he worked heavyduty overtime and saved up over $6,000 to be able to afford a pump for me.Now that's dedication!

Hi Jeffew! Today was my day of changing my site.I get very nervous when inserting.I was thinking of ordering the manual insertion infusionsets next time.Do you know if they hurt more that the automatic ones?

Hi, Maya- I've heard of Calvin College in Grand Rapids, never seen it or been there. Thank you so much for your kind words. It can be difficult having a child with diabetes, but we try to remember that a child with diabetes is still a child, we try not to let it rule Aaron's or our lives. I wish you the best with your studies, and of course with your diabetes!
