I seriously cannot tell you how many times I've wanted to do this. Great tip about letting people know it's okay to react to the diagnosis, or to the daily struggles of it. I've had so many people tell me that I'll live with this ugly disease. I k...

Back On the Wagon . . . .

I've not exactly been handling the whole diabetes thing great since late July, when I came to stay with my best friend. Maybe I just needed more time to digest and get myself set into a routine, I don't know. But my being constantly tired and mentally and physically given out after the simplest of errands really has me looking back and wanting to smack myself in the head with a skillet for adding to my already annoying health problems.

I think I might have something like CFS. (Chronic Fatigue S… Continue

It's Real Now. . . .

For all of those who don't know me, my name is Jennifer and I am twenty-seven years old. I have been diagnosed with mild type 2 diabetes. I've known for a couple of months now, but I am also legally blind so getting transportation to my doctor has not been easy. Hi Jennifer -- I read your post about birth control pills and Metformin. I asked my OBGYN and she had to pull out her Physician's Deskbook and look up the pill's name for possible complications with Metformin and indeed there were some. However, since your Metformin dosage is so low, why don't you talk to your primary care doctor about it?
