Omipod

Posted on August 8, 2008 at 2:10pm 2 Comments

Finally after years of debate and feared panic attacks, I am agreeing to try the Omnipod. I haven't seen any complaints regarding the device, other than the occasional low...but I deal with that now anyway. I am super sensitive to insulin so I cannot say with 100 % truth that the panic and fear is no longer there but better now than never. There was much debate whether to try the MiniMed first, but with all that tubing getting snagged, I put that idea to rest quickly. I am realy excited about… Continue

agua purificada

Eh....I really hate water...but the weird burning sensation which is not an std..so keep those jokes...is a UTI and it is so painful I can't even begin to describe the pain. I have consumed 1 Pint of water tonight and this is quite a feat for me. My Diabetes is still out of control...I'm willing to try anything at this point, even freeze dried Diabetic food sent in Diabetic friendly portions...which is indeed pricey. I'm going on a cruise to Cozamel, Mexico in November and I will definitely not… Continue

just some friendly advice...if you are required to wake up at 9:00 AM..don't take your Ambien at 3:30 AM

these hallucinations are out of control.

i mean like zombie pirate in the soap dish out of control.

i can barely type this, remember when you were learning to type and you would type everything really slow with one finger? Yeah that's where I am.

Ugh, why doesn't it ever get easier? i. just. do. not. understand. Where is that person to take you by the hand, or say hey, eat this and this and this and your bloodsugar's will be normal? I would eat the exact same thing everyday if I knew the "secret code"..I feel like I'm in a videogame...or that really hard Contra sequence..

I've been to twenty? more? Diabetic classes...no help. none. And then my endicrinologist is all "Hey why don't we send you to ANOTHER class?" Great plan. I measure… Continue

It saddens me to see that it is accepted for people to be overweight. That it is the norm. I have the feeling it is mainly due to what is called "emotional eating". It is such a horrible epidemic, and it doesn't look like the end is in sight, this morning I saw a billboard on the interstate for a DOUBLE Big Mac...do you really need to eat that? I mean I understand you are hungry...but that is obscene. It's all about upsizing, supersizing, make it bigger, faster, more obscene... I keep reading… Continue

There are PDFs on that page with a copy of the letter
Might want to try Inset/Inset 30s from Animas instead of the Disetronic sets for awhile =)

sorry you've had problems with your infusion sets.  I've used Disetronics/Accuchek pumps for the past 20+ years, and I've never had a bad exp w/ their reps.  I've also only used Minimed infusion sets the MM315 and MM320s
