JennC replied to k's discussion 'first job' in the group OmniPod Users
"I second the recommendation of the spibelt. I wear one when exercising under my clothes. However, I also question the need to carry her supplies on her body while working. I also have the Dexcom CGM and that is the only device(the receiver) I want…"

JennC replied to joey's discussion 'surgery with the pod' in the group OmniPod Users
"It will largely depend on your doctor and his comfort level, but I would think that for a foot surgery, as long as it is on your upper body somewhere, you would be fine wearing it. As long as it is not in the surgical area or the area that has to be…"

JennC replied to Michelle's discussion 'Strange question...' in the group OmniPod Users
"Honestly, I have not had a problem no matter where I put it. It has never gotten in the way or been knocked off, in my experience."

Kimberly replied to JennC's discussion 'G4 Dex USB Charging Port Broken' in the group Dexcom Users
"This totally explains how one of my cat's hairs got into the 7+. That was bugging me for months. I thought it was a crack until I noticed the tipping on the hair."

Bill Quick replied to JennC's discussion 'G4 Dex USB Charging Port Broken' in the group Dexcom Users
"I called Dexcom today, and started a new discussion about what I learned: see Broken G4 "rail" (that keeps the USB sliding cover in place)"

type3mom replied to JennC's discussion 'G4 Dex USB Charging Port Broken' in the group Dexcom Users
"Yeah - the 7+ receiver is horrible for getting stuff in it. We had a thread in there for awhile and now we have some weird piece of plastic or something hanging around in ours. So annoying. But that's what I was trying to say - there…"

Mike replied to JennC's discussion 'G4 Dex USB Charging Port Broken' in the group Dexcom Users
"That seems like a bad internal design. There's no reason for a micro usb port to not be air tight. With the 7+ I never had the lint problem because it came with a case that worked well for me. I would only unzip it to charge or download data. I…"

Laddie replied to JennC's discussion 'G4 Dex USB Charging Port Broken' in the group Dexcom Users
"On my Dex 7+ I had tons of lint on the inside of the screen because it came in through the charging hole. My guess is that they are responding to that problem with the sliding cover."

Bill Quick replied to JennC's discussion 'G4 Dex USB Charging Port Broken' in the group Dexcom Users
"Reading thru the Dexcom discussions, I find that numerous people have had problems with the thing I call a "guide" -- which has frequently been called a "rail" -- breaking off. Since I'm going to call Dexcom tomorrow about…"

Bill Quick replied to JennC's discussion 'G4 Dex USB Charging Port Broken' in the group Dexcom Users
"The guide that keeps the G4's sliding door that covers the USB port in position broken off TWICE. First time I called DexCom and they sent me a replacement G4. The guide on my present one broke almost off today; it looks like it'll break…"

type3mom replied to JennC's discussion 'G4 Dex USB Charging Port Broken' in the group Dexcom Users
"Exactly. Especially when you are 6 yrs old like our daughter. The egg has been dropped tons of times and it is still fine. Well - fine if you don't want the better data."

Mike replied to JennC's discussion 'G4 Dex USB Charging Port Broken' in the group Dexcom Users
"I don't know what the point of the sliding door is. I know the manual says to keep it closed when not charging the device but it's not like it makes it waterproof. I've never had a sliding door on any other micro usb port device like…"

"Nice - especially since they dont include a rubber bumper like the last version .... whats the chances that you have a device with you 24x7 for a year and you DONT drop it once"
