Was just reading over some previous conversation on Diabetics who run Marathons - I think Inspirational Badass would be a good term - I know you've helped me along the way, which I greatly appreciate. Hope to see you at IMAZ (still not sure of my plans - hopefully today).

- Thanks for the insight and info, Jerry! Yes, I've not been blogging much here or on my blog, but have been training and participating in a mentor group on beginner triathlete. Noticed that triabetes didn't have much presence here in TX, so thought there might be a chance to help get something going. Have done 4 sprints now, dropped 20 lbs, and am on track for OLY's on 9/5 and 10/2....still a triathon novice, but loving it. I thought that triabetes might be a good way to pay it forward. Are you doing the Carlsbad marathon in Feb? Guy I talked to at insulindependence suggested that. I'll check into team wild as well.
