ever since i was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes i have put it on the back burner and sometimes will go for weeks without checking my blood sugars. but always in the back of my mind i know that i am slowly killing myself and it makes me so sad. i feel overwhelmed by this disease and feel that it is the worst thing i could have been given. its so hard for me to be motivated to take care of myself. my life is so busy and hectic i forget i have diabetes and forget i have this pump attached to my…

If I had a reading of 200 I felt I was having a hypo event. Now my averages are in the low 200's.

isela said… - thanks Jessica for the request... I am so glad you found this site... I could say that I have been in the same boat you are in now.. I am in my 30's now... type 1 for 16 years now.... believe me it wasnt the easiest thing to deal with in high school... but i guess i managed.... I also wear the minimed pump i love the freedom it gives me about my food intake.... well i do hope you find all the support you are looking for... now we are here for eachother.... remember that... we are one big diabetic family here... no matter the distance..
