Jessica, I know how it feels right after being diagnosed with this life long disease. when I was first diagnosed, I, too, would tend to forget my meds or testing and my numbers were way up, like 500 and 600. If I had a reading of 200 I felt I was having a hypo event. Now my averages are in the low 200's.

BTW, I am originally from Tarboro, but now live in Norway, MI. Welcome fellow Tar Heel.

thanks Jessica for the request... I am so glad you found this site... I could say that I have been in the same boat you are in now.. I am in my 30's now... type 1 for 16 years now.... believe me it wasnt the easiest thing to deal with in high school... but i guess i managed.... I also wear the minimed pump i love the freedom it gives me about my food intake.... well i do hope you find all the support you are looking for... now we are here for eachother.... remember that... we are one big diabetic family here... no matter the distance..

Hey Ms. Lady! Have we not had the worst winter ever? So glad spring is here. I think the gym thing is a great idea. That's the only way I can exercise (when I do), group activities motivate me more. I like Zumba and Piloxing. I'm glad you've decided to eat better, and exercise more. I met with my CDE today, and she told me that I have to start doing the same thing. :( I did the initial paperwork for a Dexcom CGM today, and hopefully I will have a pump by mid summer. Now comes the big decision of tubed (Animas Ping) or tube free (OmniPod). Keep me updated on your new exercise program.
