I think that most of you have heard about this already, but just in case you guys haven't, I thought it was worth posting. I just read in this month's Diabetes Forecast that Abbott Diabetes Care has recalled 359 lots of blood glucose test strips. Apparently, they can give a false low reading. They are stating that the affected strips are marketed under the following brand names: Precision Xceed Pro, Precision Xtra, Medisense Optium, Optium, OptiumEZ, and ReliOn Ultima. Ever since I was diagnosed with Diabetes, I have been trying to keep a schedule of walking for 30 minutes in the morning and 30 minutes at night. I get up at 6:30 each morning that I will be taking my morning walk, which I do between 3 - 6 days a week. I often see my next door neighbor outside with his cat and we usually chat for a few minutes (I don't count that time chatting as part of the time that I walk of course).
