I am married, mother of a six year old boy. I train and compete in Judo and Shingitai jujitsu. My husband is a motocross racer. My son is a USA wrestler and has just started motocross racing. We have very interesting lives and a fantastic accident insurance policy!
I have been using Symlin for many years now. It has really helped with the post meal BG spikes. At first I lost 6 pounds which was not good for me but after several months I was able to gain it back. When I first started taking Symlin, I decreased my insulin to carb ratio by half. Since then, I have decreased it even more. You must be careful of hypoglycemia after meals at first and that is why the dose adjustment in the mealtime insulin. Let me know if you have any other questions about Symlin.
