Hey T1s!!!
Whether you were diagnosed back in the day when it was "Juvenile Diabetes;" you are a newly diagnosed college freshman; or you were diagnosed well into your second career, the reality is that 85% of those living with type 1 diabetes are over 18!
Without diabetes camps, it's hard to meet other adults living with T1D with whom you can share information, ask questions, and get support.
That's why Beer & Basals is for You!
Beer & Basals is a casual gathering for adults with T1D who want to get to know others living with T1D and expand their circle of support. Beer & Basals will be hosted by Carb DM volunteers Breanne Harris and Katie Craft.
Our first meeting is coming up on Monday, February 27, 7 - 9 pm. Join us at Crepevine in Palo Alto (367 University Ave)! Hope to see you there!

I know, it was pretty chaotic. There were several bits of info that didn't get clearly passed around, and things that didn't occur as-planned. Oh well. Chaotic fun's worth a lot, too :))

Thanks Jim! I'm bummed we didn't get to meet :( Next time come and say hi, even if I seem to be busy, okay?

I'm glad you were there... did you have fun?

Despite my having all day to send out this birthday wish, I waited until the late evening. I hope you didn't wait around your computer all day just to see if I would!! (LOL) Anyway, hope you had a long day full of rich blessings from friends, family and co-workers.

Happy Birthday to you.
Happy Birthday to you.
Happy Birthday dear one.

I am working at a clinic but I am about to start grad school. Not a current student yet, but it feels like one studying DM and other stuff for my work. Bay schools are funny like that- multiple locations. Sf state has classes inside the mall area on market in downtown sf... random. haha Hope that you're enjoying this amazing weather! Fingers crossed downtown sf and ocean beach are clear this weekend!

Hey! yeah I def love living in berkeley, but not as much as when I lived in sf :(. It took me a while but I found some female diabetics but none are anywhere in my age group so that's not very helpful sometimes. Always open to DM friends! Where are you a student?

The Metreon all lit up in blue should be pretty cool. I am going to the Dance Out Diabetes event and doing the Big Blue Test. Are you going to be there? It would be great to meet you. Have a good one!
