after more than a year at 6.5 and 6.6 a1c's my previous a1c testing skipped up a little to 6.8 not the end of the world but trending higher. the sitdown with my endo after the previous test was a friendly smack in the face that if i don't take care of my sugars I would graduate up to insulin, which is definitely not the ned of the world but something i would like to put off for as long as I can. so I began testing and tracking what i ate and drank and focused on my typically worst readings…

This is the first week of my chesapeakeman iron distance training. My race in september will be a 2.4 mile swim/112 bike followed by a full marathon. No more thinking/wishing it’s go time.
