if you can get the specifics that would be great in the beginning to maybe identifying what causes a spike or low maybe so you can get idea how differnt ingredents or portions affect you but if that is too much go w/ the general info

I just realized how vague my swim sessions were...mondays were ladder sets, moderate intensity with 20 sec rest or less between. Wednesdays were my speed workouts...quick 100m sprints w/ 10 sec rest. Then fridays were my tempo workouts. Tried to do them at a little less than race speed, working on form and my catch, just putting the distance all in one setting...and can I just add that 4000m in a 25m pool is about a billion laps..lol. I have to hit my watch at the end of the pool every lap or I will get WAY lost about what lap I"m on....alright, let me know if there are any other vague areas, and I hope this helps a little!

Redman 2008 Calendar - BG.docI'm going to try and attach the file here. This is my 'basic' training program. I worked off of Heart Rates and times...so no real 'distances'...when working out alone at my target HR I averaged about 17.5-19 mph on the bike...so I did a loop where I would ride about that far, or maybe up to about 20 miles, and then stop back by my house to switch out water bottles and grab more gel packs and electrolyte replacement. Anyway, feel free to take a look at this and let me know if you have any questions.

YES. The Redman..and it was friggen awesome! I had done the 1/2 last year, but didn't train very well nutritionally so I had a LOT of cramping. I actually felt MUCH MUCH better after I finished the full this fall...it was one of the most amazing moments of my life. So awesome to cross that line and hear your name called! It looks like you're in PA...are you traveling down for Redman or are you just looking to do an iron distance next fall?

Joe,
I'm don't have my laptop here at work, but I'll try to post about what I did when training for my iron distance tri (112 mi...pretty much the same as a century)...this is in response to your question on the cycling forum
