Greetings John...it'll soon be a year since your dx....how's it going? Any questions/suggestions? Take a look at some of the other groups when you get a chance!
I am part of the Welcome Committee and was just checking in on you to make sure you are aware of all that TuDiabetes has to offer. We would love to hear from you so here is a helpful link where you can read about all the things you can do in the community.
Hi Marisa Yes we're lucky here with the so called National Health, but its mainly a post code lottery in a lot of things, but I can honestly say that with the exception of when I was first diagnosed, and I went about 6 weeks without any proper knowledge at all, in fact all I got was from a website we have here 'diabetes uk.com' which learned me more than anything, but once I got in the doctors system I have a brilliant diabetes nurse Tracey, she is brilliant. Anything I want to know she lets me know and even checks my stats even when they don't need to be checked just to let me know. I did feel depressed when I was diagnosed firstly, as I thought my life was over which was daft, but I realise now I am the same as before, just watch my diet and check my blood every now and then.
I notice that different people have different colours for their pages. How do you change the colour of your page? Mine is green, and I would much rather have a red or anothe bright colour. Green always seems to symbolise dismal to me, I like bright exilerating colours which are vibrant.
Wana know the truth here..........Well I have learned after talking to ppl from England and Austrailla what those reading are and how to do it in my way and theirs too. HA!! Even though Kristin don't know it she's been a real help to me in that department! HA! I love that girl to death!!! You've lost 30 pounds huh? Good for you!!!! Sorry got to go peel some potatoes for my hubby right now but I'll be back soon!
Yes You are really licky to only have to worry about diet and exercise!!!! I hate to say this but can I ask you to ose the inches and pound system to tell me about your weight? Yes I'm American and we still use those. I can convert the meters and those measurments to our way of doing it but it takes me just a little time to do so! HA!!!
