Thanks so much, I truely appreciate the information its just what I was looking for. Now I understand why my sugar levels were jumping so high at times. I did go on the web site for a moment, but I am going to go look at a bookstore to find the book. I would rather have the book for quick reference. At the present time I only have access to my computer at work. The more information the better. I do have a appointment in Jan. Thank again...

Thanks Joyce, I appreciate the information and will look up the book and web site. I agree the ADA isn't much help. I take 1000 mg of MET twice daily and my sugar doesn't seem to go down much. One day it's in the 140s then the 170s. I read all labels and watch the sugar and fat contents. Now i will check the carbs also. The things I don't understand are which sugars can be alright, like fruit sugars. Well I know that it confusing but I believe that everyday I learn more. I'll keep monitoring and keep working on the diet. Thanks for commenting its so frustrating. Know my Doctor has set up a appointment with a kidney doctor because some counts are way too high due to the high glucose that I had for months and didn't know. Well thanks Joyce for the information..
