Hang in there! It does take a little while to get your initial basals set right. Do you have a copy of the Pumping Insulin book by John Walsh? If not you should get it, it will help you to tweak stuff with the pump yourself when you are ready.

The transition from injections to a pump was pretty easy as my pump does all the calculations and corrections, ect. The only thing that took a while to get use to is actually wearing a pod, it kinda bothered me while sleeping, driving ect. but the pro's easily outweigh the con's:)

Hello Julie, I see you are just getting started on the pump. I am using the omnipod now for about a year, it makes life much easier. Which pump did you decide to use???

I use the MM paradigm too and think it's great! I think you will be really happy with it. :) It makes things a lot easier to manage diabetes! This is a great place to be too if you have any questions about it or anyhthing else diabetic related!
