PDX Diabetes Expo Feb. 11, 2012

Portland Diabetes Expo is February 11th! I'm planning to be there to walk around & take it all in.

Please let me know if you are going too & would like to meet for a simultaneous glucose test! (just kidding!)

Truly, if any of you would like to say hi, I'd love to see you again or meet you. Jason, Virgil, & I met each other there 2 years ago! It really was fun & rewarding in a weird way. You won't know if you don't go!

Latest A1C - today

Before I start my One Touch Ping ezmanager system that arrived today, I "weighed in" at 6.9 on my A1C's today. My doc is happy and so am I and I'm excited to have the Ping ezmanager system to use as a tool to give me critical info so I can maker that number even lower! I'm ready to micro manage (even more than I already do)!

Today I celebrate 26 years living with Type 1 diabetes. 26 years!!! I remember being 18 & saying, "Man, I can't believe I've had diabetes for 3 years already!" That seems like last year.

Time flies & I am so fortunate to be happy & healthy after many finger pricks, needles, infusion sets, highs, lows, ups & downs, airport security checks, & a host of other challenges! Here's to me & to all of you touched by diabetes.

We are special people indeed!
