- Hey JLM, sorry I am just now answering your post at my page. My husband is T-1. His latest A1c was 6.1 for which we are truly grateful. His other lab values were also good. We keep close track of his blood glucose, checking at least 4-6 times a day! I tell everyone that I am his Insulin pump! LOL. Please drop back by again. I am doing some reading about C-Peptides and its effect on Insulin. Very interersting. There is a group here for that as well.

Randi said… - yes, adam is my fiance and he has type 1. we are pretty good. Had a little scare a few weeks ago when he was in the hospital for a weekend. he had a stomach virus and i wasnt able to bring his sugar up so i had to take him to the e.r. even after his sugar was back to normal he had no regained the ability to speak coherently. they think his blood sugar was so low for an extended amount of time that he may have had a seizure. he has completely returned to normal though and is using Lantas and Novalog which are fantastic! Thanks for the welcome!

- Hi, it is great that we can talk to each other. Usually he doesn't go to the ER but last time (a week ago thursday at work - a new job too!) he seized around 9:30 am and they called the ambulance. They said he was turning blue and seizing for 10-15 minutes (I'm not sure of the actual time, prob not that long but I know it feels like forever)

Started My Own Support Group - Well, Kind Of...

Hypoglycemia and Vomiting
My husband has had 5 severe hypo episodes in the past month. That's more than he has had total in the previous 2 years. Something is up - and I don't know what.
By severe, I mean, low enough that I can't get him to drink (BS of 35)- so I
have to call the paramedics. If it's just 50 or so, I can usually get him
to drink some juice, and he comes around. These usually happen in the
