Hi James, I'm was a T1, originally diagnosed as a T2 in 2000. I love my Endo, Dr. Subramanian at the UW Diabetes Clinic up on Roosevelt. But even more of a help then any doctor I've ever had (there or anywhere else) has been my nutritionist there,...

Hi David, Wow, Judith is right. This is big. But not so big you can't handle it, I'm sure. You're just getting to it a little different route than most of us, that's all. My mother-in-law was just at VM, you'll be in good hands. I'm a T1, and as...

How frustrating for you! This summer will be my 5th trip to China....maybe you should show your boss the diabetes traveler's group. It is amazing how people travel everywhere with diabetes. I would say that my pump makes it easier than perhaps your shots would, but diabetics have traveled long before technology. Last summer was the first time I traveled with a continuous glucose monitor, and that made things even smoother. I would tell your boss that Shanghai is not the edge of the world, and you can find western doctors there if need be.
